​Omar Lane
Omar Lane earned his bachelor's degree in sports and recreation management from Tiffin University in 2015, and his master's degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of South Dakota in 2017. While at Tiffin University, Lane was a two-time NCAA qualifier, earning All-American honors in 2015. He has monitored, trained, and coached numerous track runners and sprinters who have set records and gone on to qualifying victories. This former NCAA Division II Track and Field All-American is beginning his second year with the Tiffin University track and field staff.

Short-term goals (what mentee plans to accomplish in several months): I will take this opportunity to shadow Mr. Lane and get a better understanding of what his career as a college trainer is all about.
Steps to take to meet short-term goals: I will observe the schedule that Mr. Lane follows in the beginning. I will ask questions and do whatever is asked of me. I will assist in setting up equipment, training activities, and skill lessons. I will assist him on reviewing future athlete's applications, review high school transcripts. I will help in setting up hotel and rental car arrangements for visiting athletes on official visits. I will participate in the meeting of future recruits, and share my experiences of recruitment.
